Professional Beach Boxing Championship-1
Professional Beach Boxing match held by Military District Command (Kodim) 0308/ Pariaman with Pariaman City Government, was held in commemoration of 72nd Hari Juang Kartika Day, on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City.
In the premier class professional beach boxing championship, the 59.0 Kg Super Featherweight class, between Boido Simanjuntak (Rank 1 National-former 3rd winner of different classes) versus Ramli Pasaribu (National Champion) battling gold belt, fought fiercely.
Ramli Pasaribu, a junior lightweight national champion, said: "This is the first experience to take part in a beach boxing championship, fighting on the sand of Gondariah beach is a challenge in itself.The foot step can not move freely above the beach sand, and the rainy weather makes the stamina drained quickly."
The match between Boido Simanjuntak vs Ramli Pasaribu was won by Ramli Pasaribu.
The local government will continue to hold a Beach Boxing Game like this to support Pariaman City as a tourist destination, as one of the new tourism in the form of Sport Tourism.
