Police officers asked to remove a PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) flag from a protester during a demonstration about Turkey bombing Syria, in London.

The video, shot on January 27, shows policemen talking with protesters right outside the BBC headquarter in Central London.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party is a Turkey and Iraq-based organisation; it is listed as a terroristic group by several states and organisations, including the NATO, the US and the EU.

According to the Public Order Act: Wearing, carrying or displaying of an emblem or flag, by itself, is not an offence unless the way in which, or the circumstance in which, the emblem is worn, carried or displayed is such as to cause reasonable suspicion that the person is a supporter or member of a proscribed organisation. While support of and membership of [IS/PKK] is unlawful it is not a criminal offence to advocate the creation of an independent state.
