Woman rescues abandoned dog on her morning commute
This is the touching moment a woman rescues an abandoned dog during her commute to work.
The footage, captured on January 1st in Jacksonville, shows a woman encountering a skinny dog appearing to be lost in a canal.
She then calls the dog which eventually approaches and walks along with her.
The filmer writes: ''I was walking to work and heard some footsteps in the water below me, too big to be a squirrel.
''I looked down and saw the poor little dog lost and hungry.
''I got her up to a home because I didn't know what to do with her as she tried to follow me to work.
''She was trying to eat chicken wing bones off the ground and sticks that's how hungry she was.
''The homeowner took her inside to feed her and I hope she's in a good home now.''
