Man jumps into river from 70-feet tall bridge to save woman from drowning
This is the incredible moment a man jumps into a river from a 70-feet tall bridge to save a drowning woman.
Dhyaneshwar Bilder, 30, was riding his bike on a bridge over Tapi River in Rawar taluk of Maharashtra, India, when he saw a woman jumping into the river on January 1.
A crowd gathered and watched the drowning woman helplessly, with none daring to jump.
Dhyaneshwar got down his bike and threw a wooden carton box he found on the road into the river. Then he leapt into the water from the dizzy height.
He swam towards the woman with the floating box, asked her to hang on to it, and dragged her to the shore.
The 30-year-old woman, a resident of Dhurkheda village, had jumped into the water to end her life after a dispute with her husband.
Thanks to Dhyaneshwar, she survived the ordeal.
