On the evening of April 6th, in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, two individuals were spotted floating in the river beneath Gaobu Bridge - a young woman had fallen into the water, while a child remained a few meters away, in critical condition.

Without hesitation, 52-year-old ride-hailing driver Wang Yuefu shed his outer clothing and leaped from the 6-meter-high bridge, swimming to the child and carrying them to safety on the bank 40 meters away. Local police officers Shi Qiming and Hu Jiawei also jumped from the bridge, joining forces to rescue the woman.

As they approached the shore, Wang Yuefu began to feel weak, but bystanders rushed to assist in pulling them all to safety. The police officers successfully rescued the woman from the water. An ambulance arrived promptly to transport the three individuals to the hospital.

"I'm doing okay for now," Wang Yuefu said. "The doctors mentioned that my kidney creatinine levels are slightly elevated, so they've advised me to stay in the hospital for observation for two more days, possibly due to the shock of the cold water. I later found out that the woman who fell into the water is 24 years old, and the child is 4 years old. The exact reasons for the incident are unclear."

In recognition of Wang Yuefu's courageous act, the ride-hailing company Didi Chuxing will bestow upon him the title of "Didi Public Welfare Role Model" and provide him with a cash reward as part of the "Didi Positive Energy on the Road Special Public Welfare Program," encouraging further acts of positivity and bravery.

王先生不假思索，脱去外衣后，从6米高的桥上一跃而下，托起小孩往40米外的岸边游去。当地派出所民警史琦铭和胡佳伟也从6米高的桥上跳下，合力将女子救起。
快到岸边时，王月富感到没有力气了，这时岸上的人群纷纷出手将他们拉起，民警也已经把落水女子救起。救护车赶到，将三人送到医院。
“我现在情况还好，医生说肾脏的肌酐有点超高，让我再住院观察两天，可能跟碰到凉水有关系。” 王月富说，“我后来才知道，落水女子24岁，小孩4岁，具体原因不太清楚。”说起救人事迹，王月富感到有点不好意思，“跟平常的感受不太一样，我就是一个平凡的人。”
