Buy video

This house in the small village of Outhgill Cumbria had over a hundred large icicles hanging off the guttering and window sills. This happens when lots of snow settles on the roof and when the temperature rises the snow starts to melt and water drips off the gutters. When the temperature drops and a strong icy wind blows, the water drips freeze to form theses amazing formations. So with this content freezing and thawing the icicles can grow to a impressive length.
