Buy video

The Dolphin Gull (Leucophaeus scoresbii) is found on the coasts of southern Chile and Argentina and also occurs on the Falkland Islands. Dolphin Gulls are both scavengers and predators, taking offal, carrion, eggs and chicks from seabird rookeries, fish and marine invertebrates. In Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego Dolphin Gulls frequent the harbour, and particularly like the raw sewage flowing into the harbour through several outlets. The immature Dolphin Gulls have darker heads.
