Unique spider web dusted with shiny dew drops

On a beautiful misty morning we departed on an early morning safari in the Kruger National Park. The early morning sun slowly started to peak its head through the thick bank of mist. This made for absolutely stunning scenery with all the dew drops on the vegetation shining like diamonds. At the same time we noticed a few very conspicuous spider webs scattered all over the bush. The sun was highlighting all the dew drops that collected on the strings of the spider webs. The video shows the beautifully crafted web of a spider called the tropical tent spider. This spider weaves a unique web easily noticed early on misty mornings when they are dusted with dew drops. A seemingly random tangle of threads creates a globe-like web which provides the knock-down lines. In the centre of the globe is a horizontal layer of web pinched up in the middle to resemble a pitched tent. Seen in the video is the beautifully constructed tent-like trampoline layer covered by scattered dew drops glittering like diamonds as they reflect the early morning sunlight.
