This reckless workman was seen walking along a a bunch of power cables in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday (14/10) afternoon.

The man clambered up onto the black electrical and telephone wires next to the Ratchadapisek Road in the capital.

His work colleagues than laid a bamboo umbrella next to the mass of tangled cables for him to climb down. The group then moved furtehr down the road and the same man clambered back up onto another set of cables.

Amazed onlooker Randolph Frost said: ''I couldn't fathom why he had to walk along the cables like that. It seemed like they are stringing up another cable, but that can be done from post to post.

''There was a lot of balance and tight-roping skills on show but not a lot of common sense. After he climbed down the ladder I filmed him again get back onto another stretch of cables and shimmy along those.''

The black power cables are used for a mixture of electricity and telephones. Microsoft founder Bill Gates had previously criticised developing countries that suspend their cables above pavements and roads due to the dangers it causes.
