Winter solstice unique festival ‘burning Of the clocks’, Brighton, uk.
Winter solstice is celebrated in Brighton, UK by a unique festival called burning of the clocks. Handmade lanterns are carried through the city accompanied by drummers, to celebrate the shortest day of the year and to welcome in the extra daylight in the coming days. It’s a wonderful unique event hosted in Brighton every year. The lanterns are burnt in a huge beach bonfire at the end of the parade, as shown on the video clip.
