Tirama Mai light festival kicked off on Friday in Christchurch, New Zealand. This annual winter festival of light celebrates the Maori New Year and the winter season.
Around 20 different lighting displays, artworks and interactive installations light up the city. Residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this event in the coming week as the lighting festival is being held from July 7 to July 15.
