This is a moment an athletic jockey manages to get back on his saddle after falling off.

The incident occurred in Kavathe-Mahankal tehsil in Sangli district of western India on March 8 during a two-men village horse race.

A horse, which was galloping ahead, fell down, along with its jockey, after slipping on the tar road.

The horse sprung back to its feet and continued with its sprint even managing to retain lead.

The jockey got onto to a bike which was following the horses. As the bike overtook the riderless horse, the jockey managed to grab it, leap back into the saddle and went on to win the trace.

Racing is a popular sport in Sangli district. Though officials discourage it enthusiasts continue to race on horses and tuk-tuks drawing a large number of spectators and punters who place bets on them. .
