Firefighters rescued a woman trapped in a car that fell into a lake in northern China.

The clip, filmed in Handan City in Hebei Province on March 21, shows a fireman taking off his clothes and swimming to approach a car sinking slowly into an over two-metre-deep lake.

Then the fireman opens the back door of the car and drags the woman out of the driver’s seat.

The woman was rescued in four minutes and she was confirmed to be alright after being checked in hospital.

Firefighters and local residents also pulled the car onto the shore together successfully.

3月21日上午8点40分左右，成安县消防大队接到群众报警，在县城北湖有汽车落水，车中司机被困。接警3分钟后，14名消防救援人员赶到事发现场。
湖中水深超过两米以上，汽车车头扎进水中，仍在缓缓下沉。受水压影响，被困司机无法打开车门，被困在驾驶舱内，情况危急。消防救援人员赶紧用绳子系住救生圈，跳入水中游到车后侧，打开车的后门，将被困女子从前排车座奋力拉了出来。4分钟时间，女子被成功救上岸。
看女子浑身湿透，消防救援人员将自己的衣服给女子换上，随后，附近医院的急救人员也赶到现场，女子被带到医院做进一步检查。经医院确诊，被救女子身体无恙，落水车辆也在消防救援人员和周围群众的齐心努力下，成功拉上岸。
