A car driver luckily escaped as a truck rammed into the vehicle in a road rage in south China.

The shocking video was filmed in Baise City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on November 6.

A red car was parked at a T-junction, obstructing the path. A large truck approached, signaling a right turn but found its way blocked by the stationary vehicle. The truck driver then engaged in a brief conversation with the car driver.

Witnesses report that the exchange quickly heated up, with voices raised in contention. The car driver, perhaps in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, made a slight movement to reverse and make room. However, after a few minutes, the car reversed abruptly, yet it seemed not to suffice for the truck's turning radius.

In a shocking development, the truck suddenly lunged forward, striking the red car with force. In a series of aggressive manoeuvres, the truck driver repeatedly reversed and then accelerated into the car, creating a chain reaction that damaged at least four other cars.

The red car's driver miraculously escaped the crushed vehicle and leapt to the safety of the sidewalk.

The Tiandong County Traffic Police have stated that the incident does not qualify as a traffic accident and has since been handed over to the local police station for further investigation.

Local government officials have attributed the incident to a verbal altercation that spiralled out of control, while officers from the Yixu police station have confirmed that, fortunately, there were no casualties.

The truck driver is now in custody, with the case undergoing a thorough investigation, details of which remain closely guarded.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
