A video has emerged of a forest official walking into a tiger's enclosure and patting the big feline.

The video was shot by the man's colleague in Bandhavgarh National Park in Indian central Madhya Pradesh state.

Visuals showed the man filming the young tiger sitting inside its enclosure when another man, identified as Mamu, tries to open the lock and get inside.

Despite objections raised by the man filming the tiger, Mamu decides to enter the area and even asks his colleague to film it.

He is seen approaching the tiger and patting it. The big cat also walks alongside the man and does not seem agitated by his presence.

Reports said the man broke the rule by filming the tiger and after the video reached higher authorities, an investigation has been initiated.

The 1 and half minute video showed the tiger walking alongside the man, who later comes out from the area. However, it is not clear if the tiger left the place along with Mamu or not
