Small Airplane crash aftermath
Smoke was reported in a plane's cabin Wednesday afternoon, and emergency responders found the crashed aircraft about five minutes later near the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. Reports stat that the person who died was the only one onboard.
The plane spilled fuel and sparked a fire when it crashed in a dry pond in Loveland. Federal investigators were at the scene Wednesday afternoon.
One witness said it looked like "a fireball dropping straight down" as he was driving north on nearby Interstate 25.
