While walking by Lake Murray in San Diego, California, a couple spotted a group of ducklings being menaced by an aggressive goose, prompting their mother to fly into action to protect her chicks.

The incredible display of protection saw the mother block the goose's path and even flying directly at it to attack and drive it off, never backing down against the much larger bird.

While on a walk around Lake Murray in San Diego, CA, my husband and I saw a small collection of people by the shore, and went to see what was up. There were a ton of birds in the water, and suddenly we noticed a group of ducklings being stalked by a goose. We got out our phones and then captured the mother duck not backing down from the goose's threats.
