This is the dramatic moment a lorry rammed into an oncoming truck after losing control.

Lorry driver Pairoj Sawangmee, 43, was driving his construction site truck when an articulated lorry approached in Chachoengsao, central Thailand on Tuesday (June 11).

Dashcam footage shows the oncoming lorry sliding sideways before it over-steered to the right and smashed into Pairoj’s truck.

White lorry driver Woraphas Deirarum, 26, managed to escape injury but Pairoj was trapped inside the cabin after the crash in the Ban Pho district around 1 pm.

Officials from Chachoengsao emergency rescue arrived at the scene and brought the injured driver to the hospital while police from the Ban Pho police station began the investigation.

Investigation officer Lieutenant Colonel Boonshow Thongklom said: “We’ll bring him for questioning after he is recovered from the hospital.

“We’ll look for further evidence for the cause of the accident and he will be detained at the police station for legal proceedings.”
