Pedestrian Transported to Hospital with Major Injuries After Being Hit by SUV on Bridge
ACoFD responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian. Arriving crews located a victim laying in the roadway on East Slauson Ave on the bridge over the 710 freeway. The victim was transported to a local trauma center with major injuries. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on scene, the passengers appeared to be a family. The cause of the crash is unknown and under investigation. The Slauson Bridge over the 710 freeway is closed in both directions of travel for an unknown duration. The crash occurred on the bridge at the border between the cities of Bell and Commerce.
