This is the moment a three-storey house collapsed in northern India due to flash floods on Wednesday (June 17).

Local student Gautam Kumar filmed the incident on the Lakhandei River in Bihar state's Sitamarhi at around 6am.

The residents on the property had escaped and no casualties have been reported, according to local sources.

According to at least one local report citing the state disaster management department, 78 people have died so far in the flash floods that have hit Bihar.

The same heavy rains have caused flooding and landslides in Nepal.

Monsoon rains hit the South Asia region in June-September.

A three-storey house collapsed due to flash floods in Bihar's Sitamarhi district on Wednesday (17th June) . Incident happened around 6 am in morning. However, no casualties have been reported as the owner of the house Shambu Jha who is a LIC agent realised that his house is about to collapse ,he with his family emptied the house before it collapsed.

Gautam who shot this entire collapse incident into his mobile said that while he was sleeping one of his friends came to his home informing that a nearby building is on verge of collapse .. we immediately rushed there to watch it.

According to house owner shambu a strong blow of floodwater originating from Lakhandei River, washed away his house situated in Rampadrath Nagar ward .there are five members in his family. Rescue team reached spot immediately and emptied surrounding house precautionary.
