A massive dust storm hit the city of Derna in Libya on April 23rd, causing the skies over the city to turn red.

According to local resident Alshare Elehaari "The storm started around 5:00 am local time, when I was outside on his way home. I was unable to take a breath."

Another resident, Omar Jamal, commented: "It was like a totally red sky and red city. It lasted for a very long time."

Local media reports many flights were cancelled due to the heavy storm.
