Chinese artist uses spoon to create stunning calligraphy
A Chinese artist named Wang Lingxian uses a spoon to create impressive calligraphy in central China.
The video, shot in Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province on September 25, shows Wang using a spoon instead of a brush to write "long live the nation" in Chinese characters on paper.
Later he showed his spoon to the camera and explained how he uses the different parts to write characters.
According to the filmer, Wang was inspired by chopstick calligraphy he saw on TV and started to write with a spoon from 1999. He transformed the spoon into his writing tool and applied for a patent for it in 2000.
