The Chinese-American family were having a family meal together in the Haidilao at Santa Ana mall in California, USA.

Footage from August 25 shows a moment the dad took the dough from the chef and tried to stretch it into noodles.

The man's daughter Sharon Chan, 19, who is a university student, was filming her father holding the dough and dancing around with the family members laughing at the noodle fail. Other customers also found it amusing.

She said: "My father wants to stretch the dough like the employee did, the result left me speechless."
