An SUV was dragged by a semi-trailer for around 2.5 miles after rear-ending it and getting stuck there on a highway in eastern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province on November 20, shows a semi-trailer dragging a car that got stuck on the back of it along the Zhuji-Yongjia Expressway.

According to the SUV driver, he felt tired and closed his eyes for a while. He then rear-ended into the semi-trailer accidentally and got stuck at its back.

The semi-trailer driver did not realise the incident until a truck driver spotted it and overpassed it to inform the semi-trailer driver.

The car driver has been driving for eight hours when the incident happened and his fatigue driving caused the incident, the police said.

Police told off the car driver as well as punished him.
