An SUV collided with the rear of a truck, dramatically tipping over to its side on a highway in southwest China.

The dramatic CCTV footage was filmed in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province on October 6.

Having neglected to wear a seatbelt, a passenger in the backseat of the SUV had suffered an injury to their left hand, rendering it immobile. To avoid further harm, the police patiently waited for the arrival of an ambulance. Once on the scene, under the guidance of medical professionals, they safely extracted the injured passenger.

Upon visiting the hospital, officers were updated on the passenger's condition. Aside from a fractured left hand and minor head scrapes, the passenger was thankfully out of life-threatening danger.

The SUV driver later admitted to nodding off while behind the wheel, which led to the fateful collision with the rear of the truck. The momentary lapse resulted in the vehicle losing control and turning over. Grateful that the incident hadn't escalated into a more serious calamity, the driver deeply regretted his actions.

另一组民警立即对事故车辆进行救援。

经民警现场勘察发现

事故发生时越野车驾驶员系了安全带

发生事故后并无大碍

但越野车后排一名乘客因未系安全带

在事故发生时，导致左手受伤，无法动弹

为了不对后排乘客造成二次伤害

民警待120急救车到达现场后，在专业医生的指导下

将后排乘客从侧翻越野车中救出。

随后组织高速应急部门

将侧翻车辆扶正，拖离现场

恢复现场交通秩序。

民警到医院了解乘客伤情，通过医生介绍乘客除头部有刮擦伤和左手骨折外，并无生命危险。

驾驶员也承认当天是因为驾驶过程中打瞌睡，撞上正常行驶的大货车尾部后，导致车辆失控，发生侧翻，幸好没有酿成大祸，驾驶员也对自己的行为感到非常后悔。
