Chinese paraglider rescued after parachute becomes tangled on high-voltage power lines
A paraglider has been rescued after his parachute got caught on high-voltage power lines for four hours in southwestern China.
The video, shot in the city of Bijie in Guizhou Province on December 29, shows a man hanging 50 metres above the ground after his parachute got tangled on high-voltage power lines.
Staff at Guizhou power supply bureau had to turn off the power before firefighters could attempt a rescue.
After four hours, the man in his 50s was rescued and taken to hospital for a checkup.
