Israeli soldiers clashed with Palestinian protesters on Friday (February 21st) near the West Bank town of Nablus.

Footage showed marchers attempting to plant trees in an area close to the Yitzhar Israeli settlement.

Scuffles broke out as Israeli soldiers tried to move the protesters on.

The soldiers then fired tear gas to clear the area.

The Red Crescent Society said they treated 40 people who inhaled tear gas.

A number of citizens were wounded with metal bullets and asphyxia cases, during the suppression of a peaceful march by the occupation forces in Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus.



The Red Crescent Society announced that its crews dealt with 40 tear gas injuries during clashes in Asira al-Qibliya, and that they provided field assistance to the injured.



The march started from the center of the village towards the lands threatened by the seizure of the interest of the "Yitzhar" settlement, with the aim of planting trees, but the occupation soldiers suppressed the participants and prevented the planting of trees.
