Cheeky thief sneaks up on sleeping security guard and snatches his phone from his pocket
A security guard, who slept on duty ended up losing his cell phone, in Nagapattinam in southern India on February 23.
Gunasekaran, who works as a security guard, at a private lodge in the city dozed off while sitting on a chair in front of the building.
CCTV cameras at the lodge filmed a thief sneaking up behind the sleeping man and stealing his cell phone, which he had kept in his shirt pocket.
After the man took the phone and ran away, Gunasekaran realised what had happened. Though he got up and chased the thief, the man got on to a bike driven by an accomplice and escaped.
Velankanni police have registered a case and are investigating.
