Streets around some of Amsterdam's most popular tourist spots are deserted after the government impose nationwide measures to try to contain the coronavirus epidemic in the Netherlands.

Footage filmed on March 18 shows Amsterdam Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House closed as well as empty streets.

The Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, famous for showcasing Rembrandt's Night Watch painting, has closed it's doors since a week, due to the corona-crisis. All main museum in the city are closed, including the Anne Frank house. Also, there's a shut down of bars, restaurants and the sexworkers in the infamous red light district had to close their doors.

An Amsterdam parent with his two children in a transport bike, passes a closed coffeeshop on the empty Rembrandt square in the Dutch capital, due to the corona crisis. In Holland schools, children's day care centre's, but also coffeeshop have been closed by government order since a week.

Skaters in front of the cleared out street in front of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, that is closed since a week, due to the corona-crisis. Usually this is one of the most crowed museum in the Dutch capital. Holland has also closed it's bars, restaurants, schools, children's day care centre's, and elderly homes because of COVID-19.

The Amsterdam Rijks Museum, famous for showcasing Rembrandts Night Watch amongst other famous Dutch painters, has closed it's doors during the corona-crisis. The usually crowded main hall is empty. Normally 13 million tourists visit the Dutch capital. Now only few visitors are seen on the streets.
