Massive pileup on Chinese highway causes huge fire, killing one motorist
A massive pileup including 23 vehicles on a Chinese highway caused a huge fire, killing one person and injured 20.
The aftermath footage, filmed in the city of Songyuan in Jilin Province on March 20, shows vehicles engulfed in flames and smoke rising into the air on the G12 Hunchun–Ulanhot Expressway. Firefighters are seen using a hose to extinguish the fire.
According to reports, the visibility on the highway was low as someone burnt waste in the fields which are on the sides of the road, causing the incident.
One people was killed and 20 were injured, reports said. Injured people have been sent to hospital for treatment and the traffic returned back to normal.
