Deadly Madill/Bromide, OK tornado 4K from 4/22/20

Upon deciding which target to initiate a intercept I chose Madill,OK. Due to poor road networks and chaser convergence it was impossible to safely get a shot of it. I was able to see it jump over the trees towards me, so I high tailed it to Bromide, OK just as it was popping over some trees to the west of me. I got into position for filming it, and quickly had to move positions again. This time I went about 2 blocks on the mud caked road, and captured a very risky shot of it as it crossed a field, damaged a man’s barn, and then came over the pond towards me. I took off again, turned sideways to view it again. Tornado Chasers Mike Scantlin was right there with me, and we both were in amazement as it drew down upon us. We left very quickly with it behind us, chasing us, then we turned down a road to let it pass. We quickly got back on it, and chased it till it roped out. It began to try to re-emerge and some extreme low level rotation was present, but due to the thermodynamics in place it wasn’t able to regain the strength to make it. Sadly we believe two individuals perished in the Madill/Bromide tornado, and countless buildings in ruins. The man’s barn had sheet metal ripped off and lofted over a mile away.
