Six buses were burned in a huge fire after a travel agency employee threw a cigarette inside one vehicle in Northern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Xinzhou in Shanxi Province on May 10, shows a row of six buses being engulfed in flames with thick smoke rising into the air. Firefighters can be seen using a water hose to try to put out the fire on the site.

According to reports, a travel agency employee named Liu threw a cigarette inside a bus after smoking and left the vehicle.

After around four minutes, smoke and flames started to emerge from the bus and the fire spread to ignite five other buses.

Since the buses were about to be scrapped, no one was injured.

Liu was arrested and the case is in further investigation.

2020年5月10日9时16分，五台山风景名胜区台怀镇下庄村的公交车停车场内有公交车着火，接警后，景区公安分局和五台山消防救援大队迅速赶赴现场处置火情，同时公安分局刑侦大队、派出所组织警力赶赴现场进行火情原因调查。在消防、公安的共同努力下，明火于10时06分扑灭，现场无人员伤亡。

经调查证实，起火时间为9时15分，起火地点为台怀镇下庄村晋旅公司公交停车场院内，经调取视频监控和询问晋旅公司员工刘某某证实：刘某某于9时02分进入失火车内摘取车内窗帘，在车内抽了一根烟后随手将烟头丢弃在车内，9时11分刘某某离开失火车辆，车辆于9时15分开始冒烟着火，由于风大引燃旁边五辆公交车，失火的六辆公交车均为待报废车辆。现初步判断车辆失火原因为刘某某吸烟的烟蒂掉落车内引燃车内易燃物引发火情，违法嫌疑人刘某某已被依法采取行政拘留措施，现该案在进一步调查中。 （视频由五台山消防提供）
