Two train companies are trialling a 'virus-killing fog' to clean their carriages in the fight against coronavirus. Great Western Railway and South Western Railway are to trying out a new ‘virucidal’ sanitiser which kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria on surfaces. It is sprayed on the inside of the train carriages overnight, building to a fog which coats all surfaces, and is proven to fight against Covid-19 for up to 28 days. The train operators have already enhanced cleaning regimes to make travel on its networks as safe as possible for customers and staff.
