This is the heartwarming moment a student surpised his parents by revealing he was graduating from college with honours.

Jacob Abaday, 20, gave his father Lando , 60, which he opened at their home in Batangas City, the Philippines, on May 25.

The mother, Helen, 59, could not contain her happiness and started jumping and cheering when he took out their son's graduation picture, which means that their son is finally getting his diploma in accountancy.

Jacob said: "I thought of surprising my parents to make up for disappointing them when I failed some of my subjects before. I want to pay all their sacrifices to us even in small things."

To make the surprise even better, Jacob will graduate at the University of Santo Tomas with Latin honours this December.
