This is the moment a speed flyer in the French Alps misjudged his altitude and crashed into the mountainside.

Action camera footage filmed on a mountain called Jura close to the French-Swiss border near Geneva shows pilot David Andreev take off and then swoop close to the ground.

He goes to turn again but slams into the ground.

Fortunately, he was able to walk away from the crash unharmed.

The footage was filmed in 2016 but has only recently been posted online.

Pilot of a speedflying wing misjudged the situation and crashed into a hillside during a winter flight on mountain called Jura located near Geneva. Fortunately the speed wasn't too high and the pilot was able to leave the scene of the accident without any injuries.
