Skier gets caught in Avalanche in French Alps
A dramatic video has emerged of a skier getting swept up in an avalanche in Saint Sorlin d'Arves, Alps, France.
The footage, shot late last month, shows French skier Côme Geffroy freeriding down a slope when he triggers an avalanche in which he looses a ski and almost gets buried.
The video includes sequences filmed from Côme Geffroy's point of view and from his friend Loïc Pierrot who was filming Geffroy from another mountain.
"No injury, but a huge scare for everyone," Loïc Pierrot later wrote online.
