This is the devastating moment a long truck hit a parked car when it tried to maneuver and change lanes.

The rear of the lorry hit the blue car while turning left in front of a warehouse in Laguna, the Philippines on August 4.

One of the drivers caught in traffic Kurt Yohan Legaspi said the truck driver was struggling to turn when it smashed into the vehicle.

Kurt said that he always passes by the area and it seemed that illegal parking is a serious problem which causes accidents and traffic.

Traffic police immediately arrived to sort the incident and clarify the cause. Fortunately, no one was inside the parked car when it was hit.

Kurt said: "All I can say is that discipline is needed to prevent such incidents. Of course drivers should properly park their vehicles to avoid inconveniencing others."
