World's highest polo festival held in breathtaking mountains of northern Pakistan
The Shandur Polo Festival is the word's highest polo ground in the world at over 3,700 meters.
Footage from Chitral, northern Pakistan, on July 7, 2019, shows a large crowd of spectators watching the sport, folk music, and paragliders landing at the event.
Celebrated every year at the beginning of July, the three-day tournament has taken place on the Shandur Pass in the Himalayas since 1936.
According to local media, spectators create a camp village for the duration of the event.
