A cafe visitor was shocked after he found a frozen cockroach in his cup of iced coffee that he almost finished drinking.

The office worker bought his favourite drink, an iced cappuccino, from the coffee shop near his workplace in Bangkok, Thailand on August 20.

He was horrified when he saw a small bug, which appeared to be a cockroach, sinking down in the bottom of the cup as he was taking his last gulps.

The disappointed man says in the video: "I want to know about how you got there. Look at those dust in the bottom. I am speechless."

The little dead cockroach floats on the drink among the ice cubes. It also appears to have been frozen by the cold coffee drink.

The disgusted customer, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he will now think twice about buying drinks from the same coffee shop again.

He said: "The cockroach can be an indication of how clean the place is. I don't want to find another bug swimming in my coffee again.

Cockroaches are widespread in Thailand and often scurry into kitchens and bathrooms. They are occasionally grilled and eaten in rural regions.
