A powerful Typhoon Haishen is moving into the Korean Peninsula on Monday, September 7 morning, is expected to make landfall on Monday in South Korea, which is also on alert.

The storm is pummelling the southern region in Japan with high winds and drenching them with heavy rain, knocking out power to tens of thousands of homes. Evacuation orders have been issued for about 8 million people in the Kyushu region of Japan.
