More than 50 ducklings were spotted wandering on a highway in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Chongqing on September 9, shows a group of ducklings being scared by passing vehicles and running around on G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway.

A police officer drove the ducks down the road through the gap on the roadside.

According to reports, the ducks belonged to a nearby villager.

9月9日早上8点50分左右，重庆高速执法四支七大队执法队员在沪蓉高速上下方向1616KM路段（垫江境内），发现了正在超车道上的鸭群。因为后方来车车速较快，纷纷刹车变向避让，“吱吱”的刹车声不断响起，鸭群受到路过车辆的惊吓四处乱窜，现场的正常通行秩序完全被打乱，安全隐患非常突出。执法队员立即下车，瞅准车流小的间隙，将鸭群赶到路边，保证车辆正常通行。随后，高速交警立即前去赶鸭，几轮“大战”后，执法队员终将鸭群从道路边沟赶出路外。
据了解，这群鸭子是附近村民家养的，从高速公路排水沟溜进了路内。执法队员对附近的村民进行走访，提醒他们管理好自己的家禽家畜，避免误入高速成为安全隐患。（视频由重庆台提供）
