A heartwarming video tells the story of how an animal activist from southern India rescued a severely malnourished puppy, nursed it back to health and ultimately gave it a new home.

Animal-lover Selvam found the rottweiler pup abandoned in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu back in August.

The young pooch was in a terrible condition, not only severely malnourished but also covered in ticks and fleas and with wounds to its legs.

He took it to an animal hospital where it was given fluids and then treatment for its sores and cuts.

Selvam took the puppy home and after a few days, the puppy was putting on weight and beginning to recover.

Now, the puppy's wounds have completely healed and it has become a much-loved family pet.

An abandoned Rottweiler finds a new home in Southern India.

Thrown away by its owner an ill Rottweiler was found near a dumpster in Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu. It was malnourished, legs have wounds that was covered by fleas and ticks. It needed immediate medical care. This is how Selvam an animal activist found the Rottweiler.
It was taken to the nearest animal hospital where vital fluids were given first. Later its wounds were dressed. And it was given shelter in Selvam s home. Luckily it got a new home with the world’s best dad. He found an innovative way to keep the dog from licking the medicine. A small plastic bottle was all he needed.

After a few days it was on its road to recovery. Continuous medical care and healthy foods made the dog to recover soon. Then it became a pal to the family. Now the wounds were completely healed. The dog found a new happy home and a best daddy ever.
