Elderly Chinese man throws phone into coin box on bus after driver said he can 'pay by phone'
An elderly man threw his phone into a coin box on a bus after the driver said he can "pay by phone" in central China.
The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province on October 13, shows a 67-year-old man getting on a bus but he realised that he did not have any change to pay for the ticket.
The bus driver then said to him: "You can pay by phone."
The elderly man then threw his phone into the coin box.
The elderly man said he did not know how to use his phone to pay for the bus ticket.
Since the coin box cannot be opened without permission, they took the old man to issue the documents and asked him to collect his phone from the bus company the next day.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
