An alleged robber jumped out of a bus window to escape after trying to grab a passenger's phone in northern China.

The CCTV video, shot in the city of Xianyang in Shaanxi Province on November 3, shows an inspector named Zhang Ming walking to a young man and hitting on him to stop him from stealing a woman's phone on a bus.

Zhang then asked the driver to drive the bus to the nearest police station.

The young man was seen jumping out of the window to escape when the bus was near the police station. A scooter rider driving past next to the bus was nearly hit by him.

According to reports, Zhang spotted two suspicious young men squeezing close to the passengers boarding a bus and getting onto the bus to observe them.

After Zhang found that one young man started to steal a woman's phone, he stood up from his seat and went to stop him.

One man ran away and the other one was sent to the police station, reports said.

11月3号下午3点钟，陕西咸阳，14路公交车跟车检查工作的稽查科人员张铭在公交集团站等待上车的时候，发现两名不超过20岁的年轻人，不停的往老年人身边拥挤手也来回乱动，张铭感觉不太对劲就提前上了14路公交车。挑选了一个高点的位置观察着这两名年轻人，发现这两名年轻人上车以后就围绕在一名穿红色衣服的中年女性身边。

14路公交车稽查员张铭：有一个个子低的贼紧靠着这个女的，用那个大布包作掩饰双手已经开始夹人家的手机，把手机夹出来那一瞬间我从座位上离开过去把他的胳膊抓住说你干啥，给穿红衣服的女子说看一下你自己的手机在不，她说手机在包里。

随即，张铭将这名女性安排在自己的座位上，直接让司机把车开往临近派出所。但是，快到派出所门口的时候，有一辆车挡住了前行的道路。张铭就第一时间提示车上的乘客注意自身的财物，而在此刻，一个靠窗的位置发生了人们没有想到的一幕。

14路公交车稽查员张铭：这时候靠窗户的小伙，直接打开窗户跳了下去。当时，有一个电动车从驾驶员左侧往前骑行，他跳下去那瞬间差点就把骑电动车的人砸住。那个人跑了，我就给驾驶员说沿途不要再停了，车上的这个贼已经开始挣扎了。到了派出所以后，前门一打开，贼一下去，民警看到说怎么又是你。

从发现小偷到送往派出所一共用了不到十分钟的时间，车上的乘客也没有任何财务丢失。对于张铭这种果敢英勇的表现，获得了车上乘客的大力赞扬。（视频由陕西台提供）
