India: Cyclone Nivar Brings Strong Winds And Rains To Southern Region 3
"Very severe" Cyclone Nivar brought heavy rains and strong gusts to India's southern region as it nears landfall on Wednesday, November 25.
Expected to hit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry between tonight and early Thursday, the cyclone prompted a ban on large gatherings and public movement by Puducherry officials. Flights in and out of Chennai Airport were suspended.
