White and crystal clear rime decorated an eastern Chinese city into a white fairyland after abrupt cold wave.

The video filmed on December 29 in Lianyungang city shows Huaguo Mountain covered with frost and snow.

The white and crystal clear rime sits on the trees and turns the city into a fairyland, which attracts many visitors and tourists.

It was reported that the abrupt cold wave brought crystal snowflakes and caused temperatures to drop to minus 10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit).

Rime is actually neither ice nor snow. It is the milky white ice crystal deposits after the water vapors in the air and directly condenses or when it is too cold and the fog drops directly freeze on objects.

It is estimated that the cold wave will last until the 31st in the city.
