A crane collapsed at a construction site along Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), killing at least three in Malaysia.

The video, filmed by a local resident from his flat in Angkasa Condominium on March 22, shows firefighters managing to cut off the roof of a car to rescue the motorist trapped in the vehicle after a crane crushed it.

According to the filmer named Keith Fyk, he first heard a loud bang from the construction site when the incident happened at around 8:45 pm, so he and his friend went to check what was going on from his flat window.

They then saw fire engines, police officers and ambulances arrive at the site and firefighters rushed to save a motorist trapped inside a car.

After around 15 minutes, the motorist was rescued and sent to hospital.

Three workers who were Chinese nationals were killed and one Malaysian suffered serious injuries, reports said.
