A major fire broke out in a forest cover in northeastern India's Sikkim on April 6. The incident took place in Namthang in South Sikkim.

A video features enormous flames scaling from a forest in broad daylight. Following this, the trees are set ablaze while thick clouds of smoke emanating from them engulf the entire area and the sky.

The locals present on the spot witnessed and beheld the occurrence while the trees got gutted in the massive fire that erupted in the region. Furthermore, this incident could claim the lives of several wildlife creatures present in the forest cover.
