A brave woman was lowered down into a 50-feet-deep well to rescue a dog in Karnataka, India.

Rajani Shetty is seen being lowered down into the deep pit on April 10 where a dog had fallen down.

The pooch was trapped in the well for around 16 hours before Shetty came to its rescue in Mangalore.

Shetty was at home when two women informed that they heard a dog crying at the bottom of a well.

With the help of her daughter and husband, Shetty was lowered into the well where she managed to attach a rope around the dog.

The dog was then hauled to the surface by her husband and daughter.

The footage also shows Shetty being lifted back up to the surface once the rescue is complete.

Shetty then gave the dog some first aid treatment. She is famous locally for her love for dogs, she feeds around 500 pooches each day.

This brave lady named Rajani Shetty deserves thousand claps for the bravery she has shown to rescue a dog from a 50 feet deep well . The dog was there in well for around 16 hours before Rajani went into the well and rescued it out .

Rajani was at his home feeding her pet dogs when 2 ladies named Parimala and Jyothi came to her and informed that they are hearing a sound coming of a dog crying from a well at Bejai new road area in Ballalbagh Mengaluru . Rajani immediately with her daughter and husband rushed to the spot . Rajani tells when she reached there she heard the voice of dog wailing , dog was managed to sit on a small slab there inside well .

Rajani tied herself with a thick rope and went inside the well , She went there and tied the dog with another rope .
The dog was pulled out by the people above the well . After the dog was pulled out Rajani was also seen being pulled out from the well . During the rescue operation Rajani can be heard moaning with pain after the rescue .

As the dog had fallen from the height of 50 feet inside fell , dog got few scratches and his nails were also wounded . Rajani given the dog some first aid after the rescue . It took her around an hour to rescue the dog .
Rajani is famous for her animal and dogs love in her city , she feeds around 500 dogs per day .
