Wartime forts appear to hover in the sky off Kent, UK
War time forts designed to defend the Thames Estuary and London appeared to be hovering in the sky off the coast of Kent, UK.
The optical illusion shown in the video makes the Red Sands Forts and a passing ship look as if they are floating above the water's surface.
The bizarre phenomenon is called a Fata Morgana and only occurs when rays of light are bent as they pass through layers of different temperatures.
This footage was filmed from Warden, Kent on May 6.
